Announcing the Grand Opening of our Henderson Clinic and Indoor Pool for Year-Round Aquatic Therapy!
Posted January 5, 2012
We are so pleased to announce that we will be opening a Henderson Left Foot Children's Therapy, on February 29th, 2012. Our beautiful new Henderson Clinic will provide OT, PT, ST, ABA, and Aquatic Therapy. It will be open 12 hours-a-day and on weekends, just like our main facility. We are so proud that we are now able to give our patients two things that we know are so desperately needed: 1.) the best pediatric therapists providing the best pediatric therapy, now much closer to home, in Henderson, and 2.) Year-round aquatic therapy in a professional and fun environment! For the past 8 years, we have been so inspired and impressed by so many parents bringing their children all the way from Henderson and Boulder City to our main facility on Jones Blvd. Their dedication and commitment to their children's therapy has been motivating. Knowing that they are spending hours on buses, or driving through stressful traffic, in order to get their kids the best therapy available in Las Vegas, has really inspired us to do our part to make their lives easier. We are so pleased to help those parents provide their kids with our high quality of care in their own, "Neck of the woods!" I truly believe that we have the most devoted parents at My Left Foot Children's Therapy! Additionally, we have been aware of the fact that there is no place for children in the Las Vegas Valley to receive professional year-round aquatic therapy by licensed Physical and Occupational Therapists. The children in Las Vegas deserve the same quality aquatic therapy that children in other parts of the country receive, so about a year ago, we started the daunting process of designing and building a new facility with an indoor swimming pool specifically for that purpose. Soon after, we started interviewing and hiring experienced aquatic therapists to provide this service to our patients. We are very pleased to be able to offer this service to our patients and we can't wait to see the kids splashing, laughing, and simply having a blast in that pool!

Here We Grow Again!
Posted September 28, 2011
It’s hard to believe, but we’re doing it again! We are very proud to officially announce that we are currently in the process of increasing the size of our clinic once again! We are doubling the size of our waiting room, adding a second kitchen area for feeding therapy, adding three more treatment rooms, and a third restroom. We know how busy our waiting room has become, and it is very important to us that the families of our patients are comfortable and can relax while waiting for their children. As parents ourselves, we know how important it is to grab a little down-time whenever we can! We hope that our larger waiting room will be enjoyed by all of you - our wonderful parents! You all work so hard to get your children to their therapy, once you’re here you deserve a little rest!
Construction is going on right now, very quietly and without any disruptions (due to our very good sound-proofing), next-door, and should be finished by October 25th.

Therapeutic Listening Program
and Lending Library Launched!
Posted September 20, 2011
Last month we went full force with the implementation of our Therapeutic Listening Program, and have already seen the wonderful effect that it has had on so many of our patients! Both therapists and parents are very pleased with the results.
Therapeutic Listening is an auditory intervention that uses the organized sound patterns in therapeutically-specific music, to affect all levels of the nervous system. It is an extension of Sensory Integration, specifically affecting the auditory and vestibular senses, which in turn impact a person’s attention, communication, behavior, social skills, motor control, balance, ability to process and retain information accurately, and overall success in life!
Children with Auditory Processing Disorder, ADD, AHD, Autism, Social and Emotional Issues, Behavioral Problems, Cognitive Impairments, Developmental Delays, Motor Delays, Clumsiness, Poor School Performance, Poor Handwriting, and many other issues, have had positive results with the Therapeutic Listening Program.
It is a very exciting program and we are proud to be able to offer it to the patients of My Left Foot Children’s Therapy!
